
While it's not graphic or anything like that, this author did a stunning job of showing the trauma and emotions, and showing us how strong faith and healing can be, while including suspense, romance and a strong story. She's been a captive, she been abused, she's been through so much! Now that she's physically free, can she heal? Can she overcome the chains in her soul and spirit? Can she have a life with a man she trusts and really trust God after how shattered she's been? This book focused on Rose, one of the three former foster sisters. Eight years after three foster sisters left that foster home, we get to see what's happening in their lives. This works as a stand alone, but it's best in the series. Even if that means letting go of her-and the future he envisions for the two of them-forever. Laken is willing to risk everything to set Rose free. He wants nothing more than for her to experience hope and healing and maybe even happiness in her life. Still, nothing he has gone through compares to what Rose has endured.
